Overview

The B.P.R. swim team is a year-round competitive program for ages 5-18. Divided into two groups by age and skill level: 8 and under and 18 and under, the teams encourage regular swimming to build endurance, muscle strength, and cardio-vascular fitness. The benefits of swimming include sportsmanship, time management, self discipline, goal setting, and an increased sense of self worth through sport participation. Participation on the team is based on basic swimming abilities. To participate in the 8 and under groups, young people must be able to swim one length of the pool using freestyle/front crawl. Nine year-olds and older must be able to complete two lengths of the pool using freestyle/front crawl. All swimmers must be able to tread water. Summer Swim Practice Schedule At Underwood Swim Pool
